Vintage

Top: Nordstrom B.P (old) | Shorts: Vintage | Shoes: Aerosoles
Sunglasses: Vintage | Necklace: Handmade | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: Nordstrom (old)

My supa cool new temporary turtle tattoo, his name is Boris.

When I was younger, the thought of wearing other peoples clothing creeped me out. Not knowing who wore it, how they wore it, etc. But as the years have been going by, I have gained a new perspective on vintage items. The idea that each garment has its own story now fascinates me, that someone wore it for a multitude of different occasions and purposes intrigues me. So I went shopping inside both my mothers and grandmothers closets and found these shorts and sunglasses. I have had them for a while, but had now idea how to style either one of them, and finally, this outfit came to life. Thats all for now!

Florals&FruitStands

Shirt: Steve Madden (old) | Shorts: Nordstrom B.P | Shoes: Converse
Necklace: Street Market | Bag: Marc Jacobs | Bracelet: Nordstrom (old) | Watch: Michael Kors | Ring: Artist Colony in Sefat

I wore this outfit a little while ago while on vacation. Being very hot and somewhat humid, I opted for clothing that was both light and short. I enjoyed mixing and matching the tribal design with the floral print, it goes together well. If you want to get into mixing different patterns, it is very much recommended to wear similar color palettes.
I have grown to now love iced coffees and fruit juices, both so yummy! No matter what fruits (or vegetables) that are being chosen to be juiced, the outcome almost always comes out very delicious.
Hope everyone is having a nice summer :)

Maxi

I wore this outfit to my cousins graduation from medical school a few weeks ago. I am so proud of her and all of her amazing accomplishments. She has worked so hard to get to where she is right now and is a great role model. That's all for my little sentimental moment. I really enjoy this maxi dress. The stripes create an illusion of being longer, leaner, and curvier. I hope everyone's week is going well so far!

A Color Story: Leafy Greens

A Color Story: Leafy Greens

A Color Story: Leafy Greens by leahla featuring a pink nail polish

For this months color story, I wanted to try something a bit different. Focus on a main color (in this case green) pair it with a texture, pattern, cut, etc, and create an outfit out of it. Since there are so many variations and colors of the spectrum, I thought this would be a good idea, and frankly, it went well...otherwise this would not have been posted. Recently I have been obsessing over the idea of short matching suits and flat forms. The suits are so different compared to wearing jeans and a tee or a dress. In their own way they are bold and fresh, they are surprising. Flatforms are something I am starting to warm up to because they are like heels but don't give you any pain, at least I suspect they don't.  The whole look it so trendy, a new catch phrase of mine. Hopefully it wont be like fetch in Mean Girls and people might actually start using it. Ha! Thats all for now! Have a good week!

Tie Dye

Hey guys! Sorry for a lack of posting but I am super busy right now and haven't had any wifi connection for a while to write any posts. But finally, I have found some... and am writing this off my phone. Normally, I dislike tie dye (partially because it is done in a tacky manner) or the cut of the item is not in my favor. So when my mom found this top I was really surprised to see something not so crazy (but a little crazy is good sometimes :)). The cut is great, very nice and flowy, and the fabric is very light which makes it suitable for summer time. I hope everyone is having a good start of summer break. And I wish my best friend happy birthday and I hope she is having an amazing day!! That's all for now.

Disco

Necklace: Vintage | Dress: Vintage | Shoes: Vince Camuto (old)

With small shiny, reflective sequins, this dress reminds me of a disco ball. The cut and details are amazing, plus the bow in the front adds some fun. The dress is very playful and is also my moms, until I took it from her to wear for a night. These heels are always worn with any outfit of mine that needs to be "fancier" or what not. The color makes it very easy for me to pair with plenty of items and the little sparkles go very well with the dress. Bonus points for also being super comfortable!
